Earthenware stein, 10.2″ ht., c.1790, fränkischer Birnkrug [South German] in the style of manufacturers in Bayreuth, Hausmaler hand-painted scene of Adam & Eve, initials of the original owner: N. G. are painted below the scene, pewter lid, pewter hallmark from Georg Friedrich Grünewald from Coburg dated 1782, superb quality, very rare, excellent base chip repair.
